Mateo Four year Strategic Plan
I plan to establish a community center through which to implement an integrated strategy to upgrade human capital within the community.
The objectives to be achieved are:
- To develop affordable housing and small businesses, which can create jobs for the community
- To assist community members with their education
- To develop positive relations with the police department and other public safety institutions to combat crime in the community
In addition, the center will have some capacity to deal with Covid 19 For example, it can become a vaccine distribution site to serve underserved communities of color in his distric and surrounding districts in Brooklyn.
All of the issues have been based on community research conducted by the Mateo Team. They impact the poor and low-income residents of the community and the Budgets of the important institutions of our community. The leadership implementing them will be based in our community center.
Participation of community residents is required and helps create community power.
Community power means Political Leadership and Community are United.
